Skin Care Routine You Should Try at A Young Age

Aging is inevitable, and it will come no matter how we prevent it. But don’t you want to be healthy and aged gracefully? Yes, I want to age gracefully that even at my 50s people will mistake me for 30s. But of course, this will start at a young age with a proper skincare routine. Women, most especially, often taken for granted the skin care they should have. Perhaps it is due to a young age that we, women are careless and don’t mind how do we look like. Not until we reached puberty and became conscious of everything. A pimple pops in our face, and we panicked.

But did you know that our lifestyle will dictate how our skin will become in our 50s? So if you have time, start early and take care of your skin as soon as you can? If you are in your teen stage, then lucky you are, now is the right time to do so. If you are on your 20s, it is not still late to do so. And if you are on your 30s, don’t worry, you still have time. But when you reach the 40s and above, that is the time our skin is less likely to regenerate, but of course, you should still give it some care and protection. Take a closer look at these tips to keep your skin healthier and start young as much as possible.

Eat Plenty of Colorful Fruits and Vegetables

Every color of fruits and vegetables are good for the skin especially the yellow ones. Make sure to eat 5-6 servings of fruits or vegetables every day to keep your skin glow naturally. Fruits and vegetables are high in antioxidants that keep of free radicals which is one of the culprits in healthy skin.

Drink At Least 8 Glasses of Water A Day

Keep hydrated as the skin is the top-most organ of the body that needs water to keep its temperature at level. Make sure to drink at least 3 liters of water a day to protect your skin from damaging and becoming dry. Water is essential for your skin care routine to work great.

Create A Healthy Skin Care Habit

Make a skin ritual that you do every day or night. It is best to have a habit at an early stage as your skin loves pampering. Just do the basics such as cleanser, toner, moisturizer, cream, etc. Make sure to look for balanced pH skin care products and avoid alcohol-based items. Look for organic or natural options.

Wash Your Face Before Sleeping

Never sleep without washing your face, you will grow older as you wake up since your skin will be having a hard time regenerating during your sleep.

Use a Sunscreen When Going Out

Even on a cool and cloudy day, make sure to keep your skin protected by applying sunscreen before going out. Also, use an umbrella or a hat or anything to protect you from direct sunlight and UV rays.

Avoid Pricking Your Skin

If you have pimples, whiteheads, or blackheads, never touch or prick your skin as it will become more irritated and might get worse due to infection. Aside from these risks, puncturing skin will leave unwanted spots.

Use Moisturizer Daily

Since the skin is exposed to the environment, it will be more likely to get dry and damage so make sure always to moisturize your skin especially your face. Choose a gentle moisturizer that suits your skin type.
